Class Notes 12/14

Today in class we finished our notes on Chapter 12. We talked about the different bias' that each sample may have. We then worked in groups on some problems from the text book.

Today in class we worked on our next investigative task (ESP), where individually each person ran 20 simulations to help us figure out if someone has ESP.

Then we started our coverage on Sample Surveys.

Class Notes 12/8

Today in class we went over the latest Investigative Task - Alligators. Then we went over the homework that was due today.

After we went over the homework we went over how we can use a random number table to help us simulate a scenario. It is important to know how to use your calculator and a random number table.

Homework Due Monday 12/12: Pg. 265 #29, 35 (use a number table on both)

Today in class we started our coverage of Randomness and Simulation. We worked on a few examples together in class. And we used our calculators to help run a random number generator.

Class Notes 12/2

Today in class we looked at Chapter 10 - Re-expressing the Data. We look at data that is non-linear, and figure out how to re-express it so that the data is linear and then we can use a linear model.
