Class Notes 4/28

Today in class we went over some free-response questions from an old AP exam, we talked about how each question is graded.

I also handed out a corrected packet on review notes which was originally handed out on Wednesday (the first packet was missing a few pages). You can find the corrected review packet below.

**Note the packet of notes is a guideline and does not cover everything in detail. That would be nearly impossible to do. However this is meant to help guide you to a section that you think you may need to review.**

Year in Review Notes

Class Notes 4/11

Today in class we started our coverage of chi-squared testing. With chi-squared models we have three different tests we can run (1) Goodness of Fit, (2) Homogeneity and (3) Independence. It is important to note that chi-square tests can only be used when the data is in counts. Also we only do hypothesis tests for chi-squared tests. We only covered goodness of fit tests in class, the other two tests are up to you to cover over break. If you have questions with the other two tests come talk to me.

Because we are getting close to the AP exam. The classes after break will be dedicated to reviewing for the exam.

Homework due Monday 4/24: Pg. 643 #5, 7, 23, 27

We also discussed that in order to decrease both a Type I and Type II error is to increase the sample size.

The students then worked on a few questions from the book.
